We asked, and you Answered! We really appreciate people taking the time to engage with making this a better community! From these results, this has guided how we will continue to interact with members, and which events we will be focussing on. In summary, we will now be looking at effective quarterly events to come together, and communicating via email. Please see all questions and results below that have helped shape our next iteration of People Persons. Events attended: Respondents have mostly attended Chapel gatherings and seasonal events such as Winter, Summer, Autumn, and Spring Solstice celebrations, with Chapel and Winter Solstice being the most common. What draws you to UnChurch: People are primarily motivated by the opportunity to meet like-minded individuals, engage in meaningful discussions, and explore personal values, with social and multi-generational aspects also appealing. Opinions on “church” in the name: Views are mixed—some love or like the boldness of the name, others appreciate the philosophy but feel disconnected from the term, and a few dislike or feel neutral about “church” due to religious associations. Preferred frequency of engagement: Most respondents favor quarterly events, with some preferring monthly gatherings and a few indicating yearly or no fixed preference. Suggestions for supporting members under 18: Popular ideas include offering boardgames, art and craft, playground access, facilitated creative activities, and free play spaces—ensuring inclusive, family-friendly environments. Preferred communication methods: Email and Facebook are the most common, followed by WhatsApp and occasionally Discord or the website, with several noting they miss updates on Facebook alone. Interest in a Winter Solstice weekend away: Most respondents expressed interest in attending for one or two nights, though some are unsure or unavailable during the dates. Additional comments: Feedback included appreciation for the welcoming, alcohol-optional environment, suggestions for more hands-on or organic activities (like cooking or building), ideas for more structured “service-style” gatherings, and general enthusiasm to attend more events.
